Baliem Valley 8 Days Adventure Trek

The Expected Things :

This tour leads and bring you to discover the most countryside with its own uniqueness of its landscapes, trails, the villlages. rivers, bridges and rainsforest but also you will have a chance to see the culture of Dani tribe. This would be the best experience for adventure lovers.

Tour Itinerary :

Day 1. Jayapura - Wamena

Upon arrival in Baliem Valley airport, take a short drive to your booked hotel, check in, half day resting while our team do shopping and preparing ( packing ) for your next adventure trek in the next morning. Lunch & Dinner can be organized at the hotel resto or outside hotel ( local street resto ).

Day 2. Wamena - Kilise Village

Having breakfast, and get ready for a real adventure trek to the sothern part of Baliem Valley. Your adventure trek started from loadings the things to bring to 4×4 adventure car and drive to Yetni river. From Yetni we will start the trek to Kilise village. Free afternoon explore the village or just relax at homestay. Dinner around 7pm and sleep.

Day 3. Kilise - Wamerek

At the next morning, we will start the trek to Wamerek passing Kotele village. This hiking trek could be challenging but the spectacular landscapes will pay your eyes and fill your soul with speechless amazed expression. We will keep walking to Wamerek village, upon arrival we will relax, cleaning our body at the small creek and free eveing wait for dinner and sleep.

Day 4. Wamerek - Wesagalep Village

The next adventure will start here with a new spirit of the trek, where you will trek thru the mountain edges, passing the traditional local houses, crossing hanging bridge at Baliem river and enjoy your lunch box and hot coffee under big waterfall. After lunch we will walk up to Wesagalep village. Free evening wait for your dinner. Overnight stay could be arranged at school or at the village master’s house.

Day 5. Wesagalep - Userem Village

Hot Coffee or tea and the light meals will be prepared as your breakfast while enjoying our team prepare your lunch box to carry. After breakfast, we will walk thru the rainforest paths to Userem village. Lunch box will be served up on the mountain. After lunch, we will continue to Userem village passing the wonderful landscapes, passing rivers and the rainforest coco trees. After arrive at Wuserem village, free evening wait for you dinner. After dinner sleep.

Day 6. Userem - Sokosimo Village

Having breakfast and get ready to start the next adventure trek to Sokosimo village. You will meet and see local people working at the gardens a long the trek. Lunch box will be served somewhere before we reach Sokosimo village. On arrival at Sokosimo village, we will try to find a place and claim for your overnight stay. Free evening relax waiting for you dinner and sleep.

Day 7. Sokosimo Village - Wamena

On your last trek will be started by taking a walk up to Ugem Village to catch a car to return to Wamena. Free afternoon and evening just relax hanging around, pick up your phone and connect with internet and wait for your dinner at the hotel.

Day 8. Wamena - Jayapura

After breakfast, take a short transfer to the airport, check in and take your flight to Jayapura for your next advanture trips.

We will give you more informations about necesary things to be prepared when you get to Baliem Valley.

Note : It would be so much appreciated, if you could bring medecine as mentioned above as gifts for local people BECAUSE there is no hospitals or clinics in the village.
