What is Pig Feast Ceremoney?

Pig Feast Ceremoney is a mini cultural show held by a group of Dani tribe in Baliem Valley at Obia village. The aim of this ceremoney is perseverance purpose for Dani culture but also offered for tourist attraction. Only a view of Dani tribe still practice and perseve their culture. Attending Pig Feast Ceremoney is a rare big chance to see, learn and experience the real living life of Dani tribe.



By attending this Pig Feast Ceremoney you will have a chance to see, learn & experience the real living life of Dani tribe. The performed atractions are; Pig Execution Processing, Firing up processing, Cooking, Singing & Dancing, Mock War, Eating processing, but also some traditions just like; how to make string back, bow/arrow, Create chicken feather as crown etc.

The Offred Itinerary :



DAY 01. Jayapura - Wamena / Baliem Valley

Upon Arrival in Sentani airport (Jayapura), directly take the connecting flight to Baliem Valley-Wamena. Upon arrival in Wamena you will be met by your guide or I myself Raymond and proceed to your booked hotel, check in and back to hotel to take a rest or walking around or we can go visit local market, while everything is being prepared by our tour team for the next tour to PIG FEAST CEREMONEY at Obia village.



DAY 02. Wamena - Obia Village

After breakfast, we will drive to Obia village to see the Dani tribe. There are some attractions will be performed here; Feast attraction, cooking, dancing, mock battle attraction, body decorating and many more will be shown here. Time for a show to be documented !
